機動戦士ガンダム サンダーボルト raw: Universal Century 0079 marks the end of the One Year War between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. After the destruction of the space colonies of Side 4, known as Moore, by Zeon forces, the area became a dangerous shoal zone filled with debris and constant lightning flashes. This area came to be known as the Thunderbolt Sector. The Moore Brotherhood, a unit of the Earth Federation Forces composed of surviving colonists from Moore, embarked on a mission to defeat the Zeon forces in the Thunderbolt Sector and reclaim their homeland. To counter the Federation's advance, the Zeon forces deployed the Living Dead Division, a unit focused on gathering combat data on soldiers with prosthetic limbs. Among them are Io Fleming, a member of the Moore Brotherhood who despises being constrained by his family's history, and Daryl Lorenz, a skilled sniper who lost his legs in previous battles and now serves with the Living Dead Division. As fate would have it, these two adversaries find themselves on a collision course on the battlefield, leading to a realization that they are destined to face each other in a deadly confrontation.
