おおきく振りかぶって raw: The series is set in Saitama and follows the story of Ren Mihashi, a former ace pitcher in his middle school baseball team. However, Mihashi only got the position because his grandfather owned the school, leading to resentment from his teammates, especially the catcher, Hatake. The team always lost their games, causing Mihashi to believe he was a terrible pitcher and responsible for their failures. Despite his low self-esteem, Mihashi is actually a hardworking and skilled pitcher. The main issue was the lack of teamwork and communication among his previous teammates, who never discussed game strategies with him. After transferring to Nishiura High School, Mihashi plans to quit baseball due to his lack of confidence. However, he is persuaded to join Nishiura's team by their coach, Momoe, and catcher, Takaya Abe. With the support of his new teammates, Mihashi begins to regain his confidence and improve his skills, ultimately helping the team succeed through his dedication and talent.
